Role Overview

As an Implementation Manager at AphraDev, you'll be the primary driver ensuring our clients successfully establish their offshore engineering teams. You'll work directly with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and leadership teams to execute the technical and operational elements of offshore office setup. This role combines project management, technical consulting, and stakeholder coordination to transform our clients' vision of international expansion into functioning, productive engineering teams.

You'll be joining during a growth phase where every implementation directly shapes our reputation and creates the foundation for long-term client relationships. You'll report to our founders and work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless handoffs from contract signature to fully operational offshore teams.

Compensation

  • $80,000-$100,000 base salary, depending on experience

  • Performance bonus potential up to 20% of base salary

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of offshore development offices from contract signature to operational handoff

  • Develop detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, and success criteria for each client engagement

  • Coordinate legal entity formation, banking setup, and compliance requirements in target countries

  • Work with local partners to establish physical office space, IT infrastructure, and operational systems

  • Manage multiple concurrent implementations across different geographic locations

Client Partnership & Communication

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation phase

  • Conduct regular check-ins with client leadership to provide progress updates and address concerns

  • Translate technical requirements and organizational culture into hiring profiles and team structures

  • Facilitate alignment between US-based engineering leadership and offshore team operations

  • Manage client expectations around timelines, challenges, and resource requirements

Technical & Operational Setup

  • Partner with clients to establish technical infrastructure, development environments, and tooling

  • Design onboarding programs that integrate offshore engineers into existing engineering workflows

  • Implement communication protocols and collaboration practices between distributed teams

  • Establish metrics and reporting systems to track offshore team productivity and integration

  • Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges during ramp-up phase

Recruiting & Team Building

  • Work with in-country resources to source qualified engineering candidates

  • Review candidate profiles and coordinate with client engineering teams for technical assessments

  • Facilitate interview processes between clients and offshore candidates

  • Support offer negotiations and coordinate employment contracts with legal partners

  • Ensure smooth onboarding for newly hired offshore engineers

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Document implementation processes, best practices, and lessons learned from each engagement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize implementation procedures

  • Create playbooks and templates that improve efficiency for future implementations

  • Share insights with sales team to improve proposal accuracy and timeline estimates

  • Contribute to product development by identifying gaps in our service offering

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in project management, implementation, and/or technical consulting roles

  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from initiation through completion

  • Experience working with software engineering teams and understanding of development workflows

  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new systems and tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executives and technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and solve problems independently

  • Experience coordinating with legal, finance, and HR functions for operational setup

  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Jira, etc.)

  • Comfortable working across time zones and with international partners

  • Ability to travel internationally

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with distributed or offshore engineering teams

  • Background in international business operations or global expansion projects

  • Knowledge of legal entity formation and international employment regulations

  • Technical recruiting experience or deep understanding of technical hiring processes

  • Prior experience in consulting or professional services

  • Familiarity with multiple international markets (Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia)

  • Experience with startup or high-growth technology companies

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
